Each neighbourhood will consist of the following, you can have more of the same, but one of each will do. In some neighbourhoods, these are combined. Some buildings may not be available if you do you have certain expansion packs. Some of these buildings are rabbit holes, meaning you see your sim go in and come out, but you can’t go in with them.

 

Criminal Career Headquarters

Where sims can join the Criminal career and where Law Enforcement special agents can ‘raid warehouse’.

 

Hospital

Where sims can join the medical career, get therapy during midlife crisis, have plastic surgery and mothers can give birth.

 

Science Laboratory

Where sims can join the science career or ghost hunting profession, donate insects, donate ghosts , cloning sims and pets, have a gardening , inventing or  logic class and if you have nothing to do, tour the science lab.

 

Grocery Store

Where sims can obtain a part time job, attend a fishing class and shop.

 

Diner

Where sims can have cooking lessons, eat, drink and be merry and join the culinary career

 

Business Centre

Where sims can join the business or journalism career and attend a writing class

 

Restaurant

Where sims can have cooking lessons, eat, drink and be merry and join the culinary career

 

Theatre

Where sims can join the music career, have a guitar, bass, piano and/or drums lesson, see a movie and if bored, Tour theatre.

 

Spa

Where sims can get a part time job, have a massage, have facial treatment, get body treatments.

Where sims can purchase books and get a part time job.

 

School

Where children and Teens sims receive their education, sims can get a job in the education career and attend a painting class.

Where sims can get a job in the professional sports career, attend a game, attend a concert or take a class in athletics.

 

City Hall

Where sims can join the political career, have a class in charisma and if bored, tour the city hall.

 

Police Station

Where sims can join the law enforcement career, sims in the investigators profession can seek jobs there.

 

Military Centre

Where sims can join the military career,  have a handiness class and if bored, tour the command centre.

Salon and Tattoo Parlour

Where sims can join the stylist career, receive or give a makeover and get a tattoo

 

Fire Department

Where sims can join the firefighters profession, gain athletic skills, gain inventing skills.

 

Consignment Store

Where sims can sell their paintings, nectar, books, gems,etc and shop for items

 

Laundromat

Where sims can wash and dry their clothes.

 

Art Museum

Cemetery

Where sims can stored urns and tombstones, engrave epitaphs, mourn, tour mausoleum, explore catacombs and get a part time job.

Where sims can get scrap material and find other treasures.

Various Clubs and Bars

Where sims can dance, socialise, eat ‘bar food’ and drink cocktails. Some are limited to certain levels of celebrities.

 

Community Gardens, Parks and Fishing Spots

Where sims can socialise, go fishing, see wild animals, play chess, children can play on the children’s playground and harvest fruit and vegetables. There are also dog and cat parks, where owners and their pets socialise with others.

 

Gym and Swim Centre

Where sims have can a good workout, get light meal and socialise

 

Plumbob Pictures Backlot

Where sims can join the Film Career and if bored, Tour the Set.

 

Pet Store

Where your sim can purchase accessories for their cat, dog or horse. Your sims can also purchase birds, lizards, snakes, turtles and rodents.

 

Equestrian Centre

Where horsemen and women can enter competitions, watch competitions, have a riding class, offer stallions and studs, breed mares and sell horses.

 

Equestrian Training Grounds

Where sims can train their horses on different types of obstacles.

 

Subway System

If you have the Late Night expansion pack installed, there is a subway system available.  Your sims can move from A to B quite quickly. However they risk being mugged. They can also busk down there to gain some extra simoleons.

 

Food Trucks

Sims can obtain light snacks from the various food vans around town. There are two types, a burger van, which gives your sim a Greasy Food moodlet and possible food poisoning. There is a ice cream van, which sells 4 types of frozen desserts, most sims enjoy them, but beware of brain freeze.
