Seeing the World
Sims 3 World Adventures
Thanks to the World Adventures Expansion Pack, sims can now travel to different locations around the world. Their options are China, Egypt and France. When your sim travels to each they will arrive at the base camp, which is a short ride away from the market and local attractions. When your sims arrives on holiday, there are two types of holiday they can have. One where they go sight seeing and collect treatures to bring home and the other where they can complete adventures. You can do a bit of both, however, I like to do them separately on each holiday. Each trip abroad costs quite a fair amount of simoleons ranging from 1,300 – 1,900. During your time abroad, your sim can collect points (by completing adventures) which allows them to have a longer vacation in their chosen location. When you first start travelling, you can stay each destination for 3 days. With Visa level 1, you can stay at the location for 5 days, level 2 you can stay for 7 days, level 3 you can stay for 9 days. So keep collect those points.Tombs
I usually have two-three sims travel, so that they can help each other avoid danger and collect treasure more easily. Whilst one is fighting the mummy, the others can collect treasure. When touring the tombs always remember, inspecting doors will cause them to open, eventually. If you see holes on the ground, it’s most likely a trap. Holes in the wall (and floor) aren’t always full of creepy crawlies, they can have a switch to open a door. Sometimes there is nothing behind a big rock and sometimes there is good treasure. I haven’t never had any harm done to my sims from diving into a dive well, however, listen carefully to the riddle before you jump into one. If you get stuck, work with a logical mind. Scan the walls for clues. Collect as much treasure as you can. Collect gems, money bags, ancient coins and relics (even fragments). Each location has various tombs where you can visit and collect treasures. Be careful of traps, which include electricity traps, fire traps, Poison darts and steam jets. Mummies really really hate being disturbed. Your sim can throw down mummy snacks to distract them or have a sim (which is good at martial arts) fight them. They are not afraid of vampires (well not in my experience). When confronted by a mummy, they will do one of three things fight your sims, put a curse on your sim or knock your unconscious. If the mummy puts a curse on your sim, it is the hardest thing get rid off and your sim will die a nasty death. The cures are Kissing a Cobra or Pleading with the Sphinx, which will grant you access to look for the soulpeace statue and sleeping in a blessed Sarcophagus’s tomb. Each way, your fun vacation stops here, whilst you look for a cure. Don’t let this stop you searching inside sarcophaguses, there are some good treasures to be found. Whilst exploring you will come across some useful tools these include keystone, treasure chests, Axes and the Eyes of Horus keep hold of these and collect as many ancient coins as you can. Ancient coins are useful for purchasing useful items from the special merchant. You can purchase the following. This is also dependant on your visa level| Item | Ancient Coins cost |
